EMERALD CHICAGO, IL

The Emerald is an innovative “green” residential urban development with 212 new homes contained in two 12-story glass, concrete and steel towers in the heart of the West Loop area of Chicago.

Prior to the construction of Emerald, the location was occupied by the Chicago Christian Industrial League in a dilapidated building. The purchase of the land funded a relocation of this important community service to a new state-of-the-art facility. Harlem Irving Companies and it partners, worked hard to create a plan to transform the run-down corner into an aesthetically and environmentally pleasing structure that the city and residents could take pride in.

Located on Green Street, Emerald lives up to its location and was constructed from the finest environmentally responsible materials including: bamboo flooring, low-VOC paint, recycled glass and fabrics and an innovative 4-pipe HVAC system.

The two towers are linked by a 2-story entry building that opens into an 8,000 square foot ultra stylish club-like space. Included is a “mega living room” complete with wide-screen TV, surround sound and couture furnishings; a Board Room with a dramatic fireplace and lighting plus a bar-height conference table; and “Club Emerald” – a trendy, private bar rivaling any on Chicago’s club scene. Finally, a state-of-the-art 1,500 square foot fitness center completes the facilities.

In addition, the Emerald features street retail that includes Starbucks, Fifth Third Bank, GameStop, Hair Cuttery, T-Mobile and more.

Emerald is as people-friendly as it is earth friendly. Only a few blocks from local parks, residents can quickly escape to nature to relax or enjoy recreation. They are within walking distance to many local hot-spots, business and financial districts plus the Chicago Transit Authority subway and bus lines. Emerald residents enjoy captivating views, along with an immersion in an established and vibrant urban neighborhood community.
